1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Hedamo ("Service," "Services," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Hedamo provides documentation and transparency infrastructure for food systems that enables:

• Structured product documentation workflows and evidence linking
• Timestamped transparency records for disclosure history
• Supply-chain documentation and traceability records
• QR code generation for consumer-facing transparency
• Informational mapping of documentation to published standards (WHO, FAO, Codex, etc.)

Hedamo does not issue certifications, approvals, ratings, or compliance decisions. Compliance and certification determinations remain the responsibility of competent regulators, certification bodies, and other authorized institutions.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use our Services, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update any information to keep it accurate
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Types

• Client: Product owners submitting documentation
• Reviewer: Authorized users reviewing documentation workflows
• Channel Partner: Distribution partners
• Sales Commissioner: Sales representatives

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate product information
• Submit valid documentation and evidence records
• Not misrepresent products, certifications, or compliance status
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Services
• Not attempt to bypass security measures
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Service Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in the Services, including software systems, workflow infrastructure, and documentation methodologies, are owned by Hedamo.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of your product information and documentation. By submitting content, you grant Hedamo a license to use, process, and display it for documentation and transparency reporting purposes.

6. Documentation Workflows

6.1 Documentation Processing

Hedamo software tools assist with intake, structuring, evidence linking, and transparency report generation. Outputs are informational records and do not constitute certifications, approvals, or compliance decisions.

6.2 Blockchain Anchoring

Where enabled, transparency reports may be timestamped to external ledgers (including Algorand) as immutable change logs. This logging does not imply certification, approval, or legal compliance status.

6.3 No Warranty

Hedamo provides documentation services on an "as-is" basis. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-submitted information.

7. Fees and Payment

• Subscription fees are charged based on your selected plan
• Documentation workflows may incur additional per-product fees
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Submit fraudulent or misleading product information
• Use the Services to violate any laws or regulations
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or redistribute our Services without authorization
• Use automated systems to access the Services excessively
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliations

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay applicable fees
• Abuse or misuse the Services

Upon termination, your access to the Services will cease, but timestamped transparency records may remain immutable where applicable.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HEDAMO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hedamo from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

• Your use of the Services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your infringement of third-party rights
• Inaccurate or fraudulent product information you submit

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Hedamo operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or service notifications.
